Default Video Card for a gamer on a budget

I have an EVGA 7900 GT, and it was a great card, but it is dying slowly. Textures, and geometrics are messing up in games witch sucks because I was in the middle of FEAR, and oblivion.

picture of my current card's problems

I have been riding this dying card for about a month now, and it is time to get a new card. I am a gamer on a budget (looking for a 100-150$ card *give or take), and I want the best possible value on a card with performance on mind.

A card that I have been looking into is http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...&Sku=P450-8650

I hope that you guys can post up your suggestions on a new card, because it looks like I'm going to have to order a new one with in the next 2 weeks.

8800GTS 320MB cards are super cheap these days.

9600's also came down a lot.

3850 scores 11773 in 3dmark06 w/ quad core @ 3.5ghz
8800GTS scores 13558 in 3dmark06 w/ quad core @3.5ghz
reference: http://xtreview.com/review219.htm

8800gts is faster, and a few bucks cheaper, that sells itself right there

The 8800 is looking pretty good right now, I'll have to look into some reviews

Get the 9600GT, best bang for the buck imo.

i vote 9600 only if you have a pci-e 2.0 board, if you have the old x16, just go with 8800

PCIE 2.0 won't make a difference. The 8800GT is 1.0, and performs slightly better than the 2.0 9600GT.
