Okay good. I thought I really messed something up. I got a geforce 6800 gt 256mb. I didn't overclock it. This is the first time it has happened and i was only playing for about an hour.

seems kinda weird i think its probaly ur thermal compound though. about two or three people so far came on forum and had same overheating problem with there 6800gs and gts so i suggest u did what they did check the thermal contact from the heatsink to the gpu and if u can get some new thermal compound and apply it on. i bet its not getting a lot of contact.
