Default Video Card Compatibility

Hey guys. I wanted to ask about what kind of video cards are compatible with my current PC as I am looking for an upgrade. Here are its specs.

Pentium 4
Asus P4S800-MX http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...99&modelmenu=1
2.8GHz
512 MB RAM

Thank You in advance.

AGP cards.

That is likely the best AGP video card there is for the price.
If you go with that, just make sure you have a good PSU.

it's older, but by no means bad. AGP is still good.
Also he didn't ask which interface is the best, he asked for which vid cards are compatible with his pc.

But yeah, agp would be the one you are looking for. Also there is pci which is fine if you are just looking for a cheap vid card, but if you are going to play games then pci is not for you.

AGP is good, but it's aging. PCI-E is a good improvement. Fortunately, you can still get AGP cards with relative ease. But that 7600GT.. ouch man. $160 for AGP and $100 for the PCI-E counterpart... uhahhg.
