Default Video card again running slow

Hey my video card has been running at the same speed as my Chaintech Inc. GeForce FX 5200 the speed on my new video card is much much better and its not running at its true speed. Can someone please help me I am getting low FPS on Counter-Strike Source.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHz FSB 512KB L2 Cache Socket 939
OCZ 1GB (512x2)
Western Digital 80gb SATA
eVGA nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT

You might have vertical sync installed if it sticks at about 60 or 70fps. If it goes any lower, i doubt it can be that.

If so, go to the video card settings and disable vertical sync (as I don't think it does much good anyway and just makes sure the video card renders frames as the monitor can handle them and can make people think something is wrong)

In the game check also in settings that it is disabled.

Hope this helps, as nothing else I don't think could be causing it. Not on a card like that

EDIT: Though 60 would be quite high for an FPS in some parts of the game on that card

Make sure in CS:S that you don't have the "maxfps" command in because then your FPS is capped. Also make sure that you have the latest drivers for your card installed.
