Sweet, ATi being the better choice needs to happen more often. I hate the lack of competition in the high end cards. :\

ATI is doing good in the Low/Midrange Dept.. right now,

Which is were i shop for my cards...

To bad I have an SLI board... So i'm aiming towards Nvidia as of now

I have a 2600PRO, the Diamond/PowerColor 512MB one, overclocked quite a bit, max temps it reaches it close to 60C.

i wouldnt get either, rather get a 7900 GS or a 8600 GTS but if you have to pick between those get the ati(though ati isnt reliable*opinion*)

The 3850 absolutley destroys the 8600GTS. ATI is definitely winning in the midrange. Out of those two cards, the 2600 wins. You can also use this chart to help you: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphi...1066&chart=275
As you can see, the 2600 is clearly the better performing card.
