7300 = open gl 2.0 and gddr2 mem
6600 = open gl 1.5 (sucky, I should know with my old video card) and ddr mem

With these kinds of cards, its the memory that makes all the difference. However, the pixle pipelines do make a nice impact.

To tell you the truth, its really close, but I would go with the 7300gs because of the memory and open gl, if you dont do any gaming you dont need the pixle pipelines.
