why? wouldnt that just mean really high frame rates?
Then you'd be spending way more than you need to, so it's money wasted.

I'd say the best card for 1280x1024, would be the 9800GT or the HD 4830 if you can afford it.

I'm also planning on keeping it for at least 2-3 years and for my next computer.

no at that res tose cards would suit him fine hes not doing anyhing to straing on the gfx card so a decent 7/8 series would be great.

Instead of the HIS 4850, I'll probably be getting this ASUS 4850, as long as the price (after the MIR) lasts: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121272

Nice! The HIS 4850 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161235) is only $124 (after the MIR), I'll probably order it within the hour.

ALRIGHT! I ordered it! After doing a lot of research it is a GREAT value, many places say that it beats the 9800GTX. 1 day shipping ended up being free too.

I trust anything from ASUS blindly. Their products are just amazing. I like how they put aftermarket coolers on just about everything they sell!
