Hi guys
Hopefully this will make sense. I have a video clip that i want to make just audio, like no picture, but just sound so i can put it on my iPod Nano. How can i do that? Thnx in advance

Open up windows movie maker and drag the video into the audio area (windows movie maker must be in timeline mode, not storyline)

Then press save, and let it do its thing. Completely free and great quality

im getting an error when using movie maker

The file C:\Documents and Settings\Brandon\My Documents\My Videos\Jim Gaffigan For Movie Maker.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

Edit: i used on a different video clip and it worked fine, so it's probably just the clip. Thnx for the movie maker tip

Your clip was probably just encoded in something WMM couldn't recognize; it's not exactly what you might call professional software

Your clip should work fine in WMM once you install the correct codecs:

That should do everything you'll need

Edit: on the codec intallation, should just go with the default profile or any of the other profiles?
