Yeah, go for it I always think slightly overclocked cards are a waste of money though.
If this one isn't, its okay by me.
Great card anyhow!

What processor and m/board do you have??

No use whacking a top card like the 8800GT in there if it is going to get bottlenecked by the cpu.

Wow, that is an amazing price for the 8800 GT. If you can get it, I would.

Could you post your specs so we can tell you if you might need to upgrade anything else?

The 8800GT is only a single slot, and probably won't be as long as the GTX either, so it should be safe on all but the smallest of cases.

Yeah, its about the same length as a standard motherboard in that case, so has to fit in cases

lets just say there not the most equally matched GPU/CPU

you could do with a CPU upgrade,

id say until your ready to upgrade you CPU stick with the 7600

IMO always upgrade the CPU before the GPU?

but im not much of a gamer thats why i always upgrade CPU first but wait till other members reply

A GPU upgrade would still improve things mind, and even though it would bottle neck it, what wouldn't? I still say go for it.
