uTorrent Question

I guess what was slowing it down was the max number of connections, I had it set to 500 since I heard of ways to speed up the d/l was to set that higher, the bad thing is it slows down the connection for anything else...

I tried that and I still won't let me use the internet, it takes all my connection speed even if it's capped at a low speed... Should I just reinstall uTorrent and see if that helps to reset all the settings to default?

Their's another issue here that does not depend on bandwidth. Windows has a maximum of 10 half open TCP connections, which torrents will often go over. The result is you cannot open any new TCP connections, theirfor you cannot load a webpages. However, ICMP and UDP packets will get out fine.

In XP, you can fairly easily change this limit, however in Vista SP1 its next to impossible as Microsoft is trying to stop you
