Default Using PCIE Gen 2 - cant find any device

Hey guys, Am trying to build my first PC with a Asus P8Z68M motherboard I have managed to get it all going but when I start it up its says - Using PCIE Gen 2 - cant find any device. What does this mean? Also, why does the PC beep at me whilst booting up? Thanks

You've got a hardware error, make sure everything is seated in correct, take one memory stick out and try it with one another, try resetting the cmos battery, make sure the pci-e cards are correctly in, re-seat the cpu, if the error continues try building outside the case and on a anti-static base, or mostly any surface should be fine.

Thanks for your help. I have it all setup and it seems to be running fine Except for one thing. Whenever I put the PC to sleep or restart my USB devices disappear

Reset BIOS to the default settings, update chipset drivers and BIOS and I'd be willing to bet that your new issue will go away
