Default Using Compact flash as a hard drive replacement for toshiba libretto

HI is anyone using a compact flash card as a hard drive with a cf ide adapter, just wondered if they are as fast as hard drives.

Im planning to replace the 800mb HDD with a cheep 2/4gb compact flash card of ebay for my toshiba libretto laptop, which will be running windows 98

These laptops can actually be overclocked and im running it at 133mhz rather than the stock 75mhz would using a compact flash instead of a hard drive make it any cooler.

AMD 2800+ 2.0ghz
1.5gb Elixir DDR400
Crap 64Mb Graphics Card
250Gb western digital HDD
Aspire Xcrusier Case
19" Acer Widescreen TFT
