Default USB to Female Parallel Adapter

I am a marble fabricator for a large tile and marble installer here in Florida. The software that we use for our CNC saw requires a Dongle to work ( a hard driver copy protection) The Laptop that my company bought me does not have a parallel port for this driver. Now i did some research online and found usb to parallel adapters, but they all say that it will only work with a printer. Does anyone know where I can get a usb to female parallel port adapter that is a true parallel port. If not, how difficult is it to install a parallel port in a laptop. Any help would be great.

I took a look around too. They don't actually say that it will only work with printers. They call them parallel printer cables because that is the most common thing associated with parallel connectors. But you can use them with any parallel device, such as the tool you need it for. So one of those adapters should work just fine for you.

Hope I helped
Tom
