USB cable question

I have my computer buried in my desk and am sick of clearing everything out around it in order to get to my USB ports in the back of my computer. I want to get a usb cable that I can keep it in the USB port in the back of my computer and just plug my flash drive in that when I need to. Can someone tell me if this is the correct cable I need?

I'd be tempted to buy a USB box that adds 4 or more USB's to the mix. That way, you'll never run out, if you decide to add more USB devices.

yeah, a usb hub is like 20 bucks and adds 4+ ports
