Default usb 2.0 ?????????????

i have re-formated my p.c and have installed service pack 2 on my pc recentely. i noticed while in my bios that it had the usb 2.0 set on disable. i changed this to enable.
will xp automaticaly set up the usb 2.0 or will i have to download drivers?

i have purchased a lexmark x1180 scanner printer, whenever i send a print job to it, it causes my p.c to hang and crash. its ok until the little pop up appears with the 0%-%100 information on it as the printer runs the problem starts. when it reaches 99% it crashes the p.c.
could this be caused because i have not got usb 2.0 yet, as the printer runs on a usb port?

i have a p.4 2.66
with a abit motherboard, (sa7) i think.

any ideas would be greatfully accepted.

I recomend that you re-install both the printer and usb drivers to be safe.

got it! i took my wirless mouse and keyboard off the usb, and everything is a.o.k. there must be a problem with running a wirless mouse and keyboard at the same time as the lexmark 1180.
