I think it would. i am not sure on spore specs but I have a friend who has a system very similar to this ($1900 when he bought it) and he could play spore in high. So I would say so. And that's also good you can scrap the DVD's.

That is a really bad value.... im finding specs as i type

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130437- A very good budget card taht will play most games on high or new games on medium

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817182044- A nice cheap PSU that looks sleek and is reliable.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148288- A 500GB HDD should be big enough, it also has a 32mb cache

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157141- An awesome board that can be upgraded to newer CPU's in the future

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103244- a quad core will help ALOT in gaming if you overclock it or just leave it like it is

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133058- A good branded case at %) dollars off!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227362- quickest RAM your MObO can handle

all for about $510.94

this is a waaaaay better deal in my opinion

i would use that windows XP disk and just put it on the computer
