Default uppgrading my current

well im upgrading my computer here are my current specs

amd sempron 2600+ 1.83 ghz ,512 mb ram, windows xp, radeon 7500 apg

Do you have any preferences on Intel vs AMD or nVidia vs ATi? Or you just want the best for the buck? Do you plan on OC'ing? What will be the purpose of this computer? Will you need a monitor, keyboard, mouse? If not, what is the current resolution of your monitor?

all i really want is the best for the buck, hmmm the purpose will probaly be gaming,internet,and some school work, 1204 x 768 32 bit and i got the keyboard and mouse
