upgrading to vista

i was wondering, if i upgraded to windows vista would i have to wipe out my hard drives?

that would probably be the best way to do it, I don't think there is any other way.

The only one you would have to format would be the one with Windows installed on it, you don't need to do anything else to them.

Cant you just install it as an upgrade? Cause I dont really want to format and all, but if I have to I might. Pull the hd from my parents computer and borrow it I guess. IDK.
