We have a server system in the office (small office). Unfortunately the server has been playing up on us recently, randomly it will restart, automatically re-arrange settings, sometimes won't recognise peripherals and sometimes won't save data. Now I'm not sure why this all is, but I'm thinking the that the processor and motherboard are not as good. I don't think they are branded parts. The RAM is Samsung and HDD is Seagate, so think this part is OK. my question is that do you guys think my problems are related to the Motherboard? If so, can I upgrade the motherboard and processor without disturbing the network and printer settings? Lastly, what is the best way method of backing up a server system? The settings are the most important part really.
