Ok, here is my current setup.
-Windows 7 w/ 64Bit -Antec 300 Mid Tower w/ 650w Cooler Master Power Supply -Msi 750a sli platinum motherboard -Amd athlon 64 x2 5400 @ 2.8ghz stock black edition w/ Xigatek HTD- 120mm rifle cooler heatsink -Ocz Reaper 4GB of ram -Wd 500GB & 160GB Hard Drive -2 Bfg 9800gt OC Edition in SLI -Asus Cd/Dvd Burner I'm thinking about upgrading to 8GB's of ram. I think the ones I have are PC 800, which is pretty low I believe. Should I just find 2 more 2gb stick of the same thing I have, or can I upgrade? Can I get PC1066 or something, or do I have to stick with pc800? Would it be better to find some that are 2 4gb sticks instead? what are some good options?? Thanks!

im all confused, should be ddr2 800 not pc 800....
thats ddr2 still correct? NOT ddr3? but I can run pc1066 with no problems right? some video editing, but i was just thinking 8gb cause it would be easier to get 2 4gb cause they come together and its usually 2 2gb in a pack so that'd be 4 gigs....thanks though ill look around. ddr3 is ridiculously cheaper too.... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820134928 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231182 can you recommend some?

you can't fit ddr3 in a ddr2 motherboard, 800/1066mhz is the speed.
You can fit ddr2 1066 no problem Yes get 2x4gb then, ddr2 1066mhz 4gb x2 Pc is the speed x8 so ddr2 800= pc6400 - 800x800=pc6400, which means it can send data that fast. So 1066mhz would be pc 8500 |
