Default Upgrading old computer

Hope you guys can help me out. I have a older computer that I built in late 2007. I am looking to upgrade a few parts to get me buy for the next couple of years. First I have a duel core 1.8 intel that I would like to upgrade. I also have a 8800 GTS graphic card that I would like to SLI. This is all on a MSI P6N motherboard. I do play games here and there and would like to get a nice graphic upgrade.

Want would be the best processor that I could get with a 775 slot that is pretty cheap and would be a good upgrade for me?

My graphic card is a 8800 GTS 640mb. Like I said I would like to SLI with another one. My question is will a XFX 8800 GTS 640mb work? Or do I have to get the same part # card to match with it.

Thank you
