Actuall, most every review I have read said it would be the best card out there even if the price was another $100 higher.

Yup.
It was mentioned a lot in some forums but the linky was dead.
some people say one way, others say the other.
The only ones who backed it up in any way were the ones arguing for the x2.

This is the only familiar review of it I could find.
