Upgrading laptop hard drive

I just ordered a new Acer laptop with 160 GB on the hard drive. I was thinking about installing a new 500 GB hard drive on it, but was wondering about installing Windows Vista twice. If I install Vista on the original hard drive with the software that comes with it, I can still re-install Vista on the new hard drive if I decide to upgrade it? Also, could I simply clone the hard drives? Thanks for the help.

You would need a cloner such as HDCloneFree

Then you will need a way to hookup the 2 hard drives to another system and then you just clone them, it is very simple. I have used this program before and the instructions are elementary.

Also the manufacturer should offer CD's or DVD's to reinstall, you may request those or make them with the laptop.
