Question Upgrading Laptop cpu?

I was wanting to upgrade my hp dv6-1130tx as its pretty slow. The socket is pga478 and it currently has an intel core 2 duo P7450 @2.13Ghz. I have the newest bios version but i don't think it matters to much because the pga478 sockets are fairly outdated i think. Would something like a T9900/P9700 work or maybe something that is a bit better value? Would quad core work, such as a Q9000? Hopefully its possible so i don't have to buy a new laptop for a while, thanks guys If i'm missing any important info let me know!
