Default upgrading after x mas any comments??

new upgrades i am thinking of after x mas parents giving me a gift card to new egg =) please give some comments or sugestions....... more ram and a second video card will come later once i pay for school books.

new case


new MB


new second hd(for a 500gb total)


new dvd burner(mine just will not detect anymore?)


new monitor(maybe a little later)


desktop:MB:MSI 890FXA-GD65 AM3 AMD 890FX/AMD Athlon II X4 620 Propus 2.6GHz 95W Quad-Core Processor/8gigs corsair ram/corsair 650w power supply/Sapphire HD 5870 2GB/ 2tb hd space/ 4 120mm case fans

I like the way it looks, but, I'm a little scared for the PSU. 450W is maybe a borderline, but I'm not sure. If you can, try to get a 520W PSU

Umm.. it might cope, proberly will for a good while. When you do have the spare cash, consider upgrading it, as it will be under a little strain.

That looks good though, not sure if I would choose that case, but it's your choice. As for your DVD drive not being detected, have you tried changing the IDE cable?
