Upgrades Need help

Alright I'm doing a major upgrade on my current PC.

1. I'm buying a new nvidia geforce 8800gtx and i need a new AM2 socket motherboard with 2 PCI x16 slots what should i get?

2. What speed processor speed should i get I'm looking at AMD athlon 64 X2

If you're shelling out for that GPU, you shouldn't bottleneck it through the processor. I'd say MINIMUM a 4600+X2 with good cooling to overclock it. The stock fan might be ok for overclocks, but I never used it. I use an Arctic Cooling freezer 64 pro for mine. For the motherboard, I dunno. I use an ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe wifi edition, which is a great board, but it doesn't have the best overclocking features. It only has whole number multipliers, where my brother's s939 A8N32-SLI Deluxe has multipliers in .5 increments and better RAM divider settings. Maybe someone could give you better input for the mobo.

that is a nice looking mobo yeah what im running now is overclocked the cooler i got ont here now is gigantic I mean it is huge so i wont have a problem as far as heat
