hello all
so i have a MSI CR620 laptop
and i have it connected to 2 22" LCD in an extended desktop set up

a quick run down of the specs:
i3 380M (dual core w/ hyper threading acts like a quad core)
4 GB total ram (VRAM is shared from this pool also)
500GB HDD (plenty of space)
so when im running my monitors im always at 68% - 80% usage with the 2 LCD's
so i opened up the back of it and its really easy to get to the RAM (and CPU)
so im thinking about popping in 16 GB of RAM in this bad boy
does anyone have any thoughts on why that might NOT work?
also im thinking about upgradeing my CPU which is where i really need help

so ive done some searching and found a nice one to replace my i3 380M
i know i wont get all of the benifits of this new CPU in an older socket
but i will get a newer architecture and a some new features
as well as a better GPU which means that it will be able to deal with my 2 screens alot easier then it currently does
my main concern is my Windows 7 key, i know i can swap and install HDD's as much as i want and i wont need a new key
but i cant remember where that line is
would i have to get a new key?
or would it be fine since im not changeing the main board?
any other thoughts or concerns would be greatly appreciated
so if everything works out for me i would have a faster / better CPU/GPU
and more RAM to deal with the work loads
but what bumps in the road am i not seeing?
