Upgraded some stuff on my system

Got a PhenomX4 9950 BE and an ASUS M3A78-T Mobo for Xmas, my B-day is coming up on the 16th and im hoping to get an HIS 4870(1GB) aswell as 4GB of G.Skill ram (PC2 8500).


Im coming from a 4200+ X2, Abit mobo, 7600GT, 3GB (PC 4300), Cant wait to see the improvement of Graphics / RAM, so far the X4 has been working excellent.

PC2 8500 is what? 1066? You may not see all of that used. HT runs 1:1 at 800 or 1066. I'm not sure.

What programs are you looking to use? The processing improvement you hope to experience may not be as significant as you expect (not to blow your bubble). You'll definitely feel the graphical difference with a 4870.

9950 is really cheap and a great deal ATM, did you get the 140W or the new 125W version?

And you got an SB750 board, get overclocking!

HD 4870 is going to be 344386745349583539458 times faster than the 7600GT too.

Be careful PC2 8500 (DDR2 1066) kit you get. Some are just DDR2 800 kits with there SPD set to 1066 and looser timings but more expensive
