Upgraded Laptop CPU Screen Now Black.

AH HA
Did you make sure the marker on the CPU is lined up with the marker on the socket?
Are the retaining screws snug?
Did you reapply thermal paste?
Did you run the setup disc?

It is and when using the lock screw (The slot headed one one on the socket) is clicked into place.
Very much so and I used new silicon paste.
I don't have one. so that would be a no. how ever there is no way I could run a disc as the system is not starting to anything that could open and start said disc.

Question do you hear the "beep" when your computer boots?

edit :
kaaj.. I've been checking out the T9600 and it doesn't look like it has intergrated graphic card in it. So you currently have to GPU which could be the cause of your blackscreen

Nothing at all which is what made me question the ram.

No it does not have one that much I know. (I've installed 297 of them to other computers)

How ever this make of laptop has a independent northbridge graphics chip, the out of box CPU did not have a video part either.
