Hello everyone this is another spec my brother uses I plan to upgrade him.

I am buying these 3 items the budget is 200 USD and its mainly a upgrade from a old 939 socket to a am2 board.

Now the items he is upgrading are these 3

He uses a PSU my sister uses in fact its a
430 Wat Thermeltake PSU

My question is can the PSU handle these items? If so then read below.

Then can it handle this for a GPU (a future upgrade when he gets the cash)

He wants that instead of his 7900GS but I dunno if a 430wat PSU will be able to handle it. If so what would be a good PSU to go for?

It's recommended to have a power supply of atleast 450W or more if you want to use the 9600GT, so, the 3 items that you're purchasing right now will work fine with the 430W psu, but if you plan on upgrading the video card any time soon, you'll have to consider factoring in the cost of a new power supply as well.

Generally most 8600GT are recommended to have at least a 350W PSU with 22A 12V rail.

The 8800GT and 9600GT both need at least a 400W with 26A on the 12V rail.

I would also recommend getting a better processor. It does not cost that much more to go straight to 5600+

Only like $50 more or go for like the 6000+ for $80 more. Upgrading to one of those will make a huge difference over the 4400+ (I did same upgrade and I ended up not liking the difference in power until I went to the 6000+)
