Hello All,

I have an older computer that I am playing around with, and want to upgrade the video card on it. No problem there, I found a low profile AGP card to fit the Dell 4300S, but I need a better power supply. The standard power supply is only 180W. I have done a lot of searching, but nothing has come up that is useful. I could replace it with a Dell 210W, but that doesn't buy me much. I was looking for something that is 300W at least.

The problem is that it has this Dell odd ball shape

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks.

i would say that its all about a peace of mind thing
like just so that he knows that he has enough power to run everything
instead of crossing his fingers and it not working
all of the dissapointment would be avoided
right?

i say you get that better one from dell
and see if that works
if it doesnt you would be better off investing in an aftermarket case
and PSU
then just swapping the old parts into a new case
and taking it from there

There isn't much you can do then to buy the 210W power supply. There are no aftermarket power supplies that will work in that case.

As Joga suggested, depending on the video card, you may not need a more powerful unit.

Sorry but that wont work MNI-SmellyCakes. The one in his Dell is made for that case only.

This is what it looks like:
