Upgrade Path

Current Specs:
Intel E8400 (3.6 ghz) w/ CM 212+
Palit HD4850 512mb
2x2gb OCZ Vista Performance Platinum
Corsair TX650W
Asus P5Q
Lancool K-62BW

My mobo doesn't have SLI. So I'll probably do I complete overhaul in about 1 year from now [complete switch to i7 or w/e is good at the time]

But I feel I want to get more out of my current setup. What should I upgrade to get more out of this? I'm assuming the gfx card to a 5800 series or the new nvidia ones due in march.

That seems like a solid setup already...what do you want it to do better? Is that GPU really too slow for you?

Yea, I mean I game on 1080p so games like [ mirrors edge / mass effect / shattered horizon / MW2] a can really feel the lag in a lot of sequences.

idk, i play Shattared Horizon on 1080 p and i cant really feel anything, i have a 512mb 4850 as well.
