Upgrade (Downgrade) Q?

I inherited a Dell 2400 with a 2.7 GHz Celeron, 128KB L2.

I want to use this SOLELY for Internet and for Vista Media Center included in Vista HP. NO games on this one.

Understanding the L2 cache is a little slim, in anyone's opinion, would it be worthwhile to hunt down a P4 processor to replace the Celeron for better performance?

I have a 2 Mb max on RAM and I intend to upgrade from the 512 in it now.

I am also upgrading from the onboard video.

ehh; Vista is a pretty intense OS for a Celery at 2.7. It's on S-478 so you could upgrade to a P4, but you won't find one new. Hope you're familiar with E-bay. Or at that I know of, let me look around a bit.

I did find a P4 2.0 with a 512 cache for $9.99.

As far as I can figure out, my limitations would be the socket type and the FSB specs.

Anything else?

Edit: The Vista upgrade advisor tool says the Celeron would be acceptable.
