Default Updating to SP2

I tried updating to SP2 a few weeks ago, but it somehow messed up XP's theme service. I couldn't use anything besides the Windows Classic theme, and whenever I tried applying anything other than that, it gave me a "Run DLL as an App" error. I did a system restore and went back to SP1, but I need SP2 to run ATI's Catalyst.

This problem was probably caused by my UXTheme.dll patch which enabled me to use visual styles other than Luna, but what if I restore the original UXTheme.dll and then update to SP2? Do you think it'll work then?

It should, doesnt mean it will for sure, but It sounds like you have the right idea, and are on the right track. Go with it, and see what it does, worst thing that could happen is the same thing you already have a problem with.
