Your computer appears to take low-profile cards. *small slots It's minimum wattage is 400W however, I would go with a safe 550W or better.

Aha, alright. So GeForce GTS 450 and a 550W Power source (of a good brand) would be a good solution for me?

Cool. Just one more question - are all power supplies compatible with my computer, as in, are they all pretty much universal or is there some specifications I want to look out for.

They need to be compatable with the motherboard. Most motherboards will take a ATX12V v2.2 powersupply. However, you may want to either call acer or check yourself. The acer website isn't very clear on what type of powersupply you need.

I believe it says it is ATX-based power supply. Not sure what it means though.
