Yeah, probably fried a logics chip or whatnot. Oh well, it wasn't anything a RMA couldn't handle.

Make sure before you do get PC3200 RAM, your motherboard supports it. Many Manufacturers like EMachines only allow slow RAM to be put in, for instance, in your case a max speed of PC2700...

What model is it?
