Thelis Golden Master Messages 5,410 Sep 15, 2007 #2 You... overclock it back up to 2660? I am sorry but I do not see why it should be doing this.
Cabbs Golden Master Messages 7,912 Sep 15, 2007 #3 Look in the bios for something like speedstep. Some motherboards enable this by default because it consumes less power when idle.

Cabbs Golden Master Messages 7,912 Sep 15, 2007 #6 It might not be called speedstep. Look in your manual for things that have to to with power saving.
