Ok, I had a problem with a hard drive and I am unable to boot from it. I bought a new hard drive and installed Windows XP Pro. I had MCE 2005 on the other HD. I can not boot into windows and see the old drive. I can also access it as well meaning it was just something wrong with the boot processes with the HD.
My problem now is I did not authorize others users on the computer to have access to my files (deskop, My Documents and such) so when I try to navigate to there through My computer, I get an error message
"D:\Documents and Settings\Brian S\Desktop is not accessible.
Access is denied."
How do I gain access into my files to transfer them onto my new drive. I do have the administrator password for that account but there is no real way I know of to use it to access those files.
Anyone have an idea?
