Default uhhhhh

i seem to have a virus that is mixing up all my media files and deleting parts of them eg. i could be listening to a song then a film would start playing and then the rest of the song would cut out and the rest of that film would dissapear off my hard drive, it is also affecting txt files and pictures, so far no registry files have been touched. if anyone has heard of something like this or has any suggestions they would be greatly appriciated, anything.
