U.S. Robitics modem and Fedora Core 3

i just got a usr modem V.92 today hooked it up and i cant get a connetion and i also have an internal modem (PCI) does any one know where i can get a driver for it model number 5686

Hi, where does the USR Modem V.92 plug in? This on PCI too? So both are in?

Which ones have you tried connecting with?

Maybe having both in at the same time is causing compatability issues for example.

the usr modem connects serial port and i get the same error no matter what modem i use but im looking for drivers for the usr modem

i need drivers to run it in Linux Fedora Core 3 kernel 2.6.9-1.667 i686 and that only gives me windows drivers

it did dial up once but i didnt add a prefix so it didnt connect then i did something and then it woulnd connect there are a list of devices that i can choose and the /dev/modem isnt the right one but then theres
/dev/ttyS0
/dev/ttyS1 and a list of others that when i try them they come pu with various errors error 2 6 8 could you tell me what the errors mean
