Two Hard Drives

ok i have an IBM 20mb drive for my os....and a western digital 80gb caviar that i want to use for programs like steam photoshop..games and other stuff like that would i be able to set the 80 as a default to have all my other stuff installed to or would i still have to manually set it up....if so how? thanks in advanced

lol 20mb, i think you mean gb because I gave it to you.

When installing a program, you will have to manually point it to the 80Gb drive.

Most programs, by default, install to C:\Program Files\XYZ. When the install gets to that point, just change "C:" to the drive letter of your 80GB drive. Easy enough.

To change that default, do this registry tweak:
- Open Regedit (Start > Run > regedit)

- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

- Double click on ProgramFilesDir

- Change C:\Program Files to whatever you want, like maybe D:\Program Files
