-Tweak The Swap File

For Users with 256 MB RAM or more this tweak will boost their Windows- and Game-Performance.
What it does: It tells Windows not to use any Swap File until there is really no more free RAM left.
Open the System Configuration Utility by typing msconfig.exe in the RUNConservativeSwapfileUsage =1" under the 386enh section.
Restart your Windows and enjoy better Game performance

also i can no longer find the thing on how to set my l2 cache in xp correctly (i just reinstalled)..so could someone please help me? thank you!

another thing....since i have pagefile on and have 1gb of ram should i turn pagefile off so i can run faster? and woudl it help in game?...plz answer thx!
 
Go to:

Start
Run
Type msconfig and press enter
Go to the SYSTEM.INI tab
Click 386enh
Click the New button on the side
Type ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 and press Enter
Apply the changes and reboot


Games should run faster, because instead of using the slow page file virtual memory off the hard drive, it uses the much faster physical memory.
