Default TV wireless?

Is it possible/feasible to do a wireless from the computer to your tv? If not now, is it a proposed technology for the upcoming future, say in 5 to 10 years?

a TV with built in WiFi, probably not be that hard to integrate. its probably the amount of data that's the problem.

The TV needs to have WiFi. I think you have to purchase a TV with WiFi. But if you have an Xbox 360 you can play movies from your computer. Its not that we dont have the technology, its the fact that currently a TV is little more than a monitor, a screen.

my samsung TV has built in wifi and it scans the local network for computers / shares. If I share a folder on my PC / laptop and dump video files in there I can play on my TV
