TV Tuner Cards

If your asking if you watch/record at the same time? Then the answer is yes

At 129.99 it seems like that will be one of the cheapest things in my theater room. You might be right though. That could be a lot of money for the card. I'm not real experienced with these cards.

Looks awesome. Hauppage has amazing quality for a tuner card.

Just some advice (you'd prolly know this though) in case you buy a different one, it has to be PCIe x1 or else its gonna look awful. PCI just doesn't meet the bandwidth requirements of these things.

What media program will you be using? I much prefer mythTV over anything Micro$oft has to offer. And the included software is pretty bad. Just a heads up.

I didn't know that. I just always order PCI-e when I have a choice.

I have no clue as to what tuner cards need for interface speeds. I know PCIe x1 is 250MB/s and PCI is 133MB/s. I also know that PCIe NIC cards don't need 133MB/s. Thanks for the heads up.

I Love Media Center for my digital collection. I use a plug in program called Media Browser. The interfaces are just graphically astounding. I have tried Myth TV, Beyond TV, and SAGE TV. to me they don't hold a candle stick to 7MC but....... I have heard that those programs excel over 7 MC when dealing with Television aspects.

here are a couple of links to a screen shots of my media browser.
