Default Tv Streaming

I know that with a program like beyond tv, you can stream from your tv server to lets say a laptop. but can u do that outside a local network? like remotely from a city away, or something like that, connecting to the ip on the server??

i think theres something like Location Free base from sony. i think it streams ur live tv through the interweb, like winamp remote.

that is correct. you need to buy the location free box though
