Default tv out?

I have a nvidia Geforce 9200m GS video card on my laptop. Does it have tv out capabilities? How can i tell? I want to get a VGA to RCA cord and it says you need to have tv out.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Are you trying to display things from your laptop on your television?

I don't think there are any readily made VGA -> composite adapters made.

If you're trying to hook your laptop up to your TV, your TV will need either a VGA input or S-Video.

Not necessarily. If his video card has S-Video out, he can use a S-Video -> composite adapter. It's usually included.

If you have an S-Video or HDMI output, you can connect either of those to your TV.

Yup, they come with most video cards.

Keep in mind, only HDMI and VGA can produce high definition video. S-Video and composite connections are limited to standard definition resolutions.

Huh...I think I just took my video card out of the package. Didn't worry about anything else. Lol.

Im trying to connect my laptop to my tv. I don't have an s-video port. I just have HDMI, VGA, and DVI. i found this, http://www.amazon.com/NEW-CONVERTER-.../dp/B000S675JU. Supposedly, it works but only if your video card supports tv out. What exactly is this and how can i see if my card has that.
