Turn off on card in CrossFire?

Hey,

I have two 4870 HDs, and obviously, I don't always need all that power. Is there anyway for me to shut off one card when I'm not playing games? As in, shut the card off completely...so the fan doesn't run- nada.

I don't think it's possible to completely turn off the secondary video card.

Why would you want to shut off one card? You never know, there may be some explosion that requires more of your gpu and with the second card it'll keep playing smoothly.
