Default Turn on laptop with lid closed

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if there is anything that I could use to turn my laptop on while the lid is closed. I tried googling to see if there was such a thing that was USB powered or activated...but my search was fruitless.

I am trying to have my laptop connected to a separate (larger) monitor and then have my actual laptop closed and hidden behind the monitor or in a drawer or something. The only option right now is to open my computer, turn it on, close it, then put it away. I have the close screen triggers hibernate option turned off. I would like to not have to drag out the computer every time I want to use it.

Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance,

I think what you want is a port replicator.
But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
