Exclamation Trying to get OLD Laptop online

I found an OLD Compaq computer the runs win98 and has a 3Gig HD (LOL). I want to get it online. When it was made they did not use Cat5/ DSL connection so it only has a phone line connection. I am trying to use a wireless PCI card. The computer has no Wireless software and i cannot find the software CD, or I can not get on the internet to download software. My flash drives will not work because the USB slot is not 2.0. So i guess the only way to transfer things id through a Burnt CD

My Question? What is wireless software that will work with Win 98??

well, i can think of a few. Linksys, ativa, netgear. Does the comp have a pcmcia slot? Ativa is an office depot brand, and you can get a card for something like $15. I don't think they have pci cards. There's also pcmcia cards with ethernet, usb, esata, etc.
