trying to find out what to buy

How long is it going to take you to save up that much? if it going to take too long i would ask later because products change fast.

case price

the case is $230, i love that case, but i might get a diff. one, its 300, and its red, black and silver, no glass parts, but i couldnt find a picture of it, my friend has it:D

The alienware aurora is a very good and top of the line pc for gaming purposes, it should have no problem supporting graphic design and animation programs such as photshop and flash mx. I'm not sure how much it would be in rhode island though.

Hey JCON, check this out. It's the same specs I did for another guy in this forum. THis will fit right up your alley. An Intel setup that is "pretty" good.

I bumped up your CPU since you're willing to shell out $4,000, lol.

ok

to dyserq: eeh, i dont like the idea of buying a stock computer, even if it is meant for a certain thing. my experience in just buying a computer is not very good, it seems like the companies put the lowest requirements they possibly can in stock computers, so im just gonna go w/ making.
(and by animation, i do use flash and stuff, but i am already mastering that, i actually meant like maya, lightwave, 3ds max, etc....

and to the last guy, some of those links didnt work, try again lol:D

I ran the links and they work perfect now. That would be my Intel machine if I were to build it.

Just the four items above comes out to $1,627.99 without shipping and taxes. I'm not sure why the new Corsair XMS2 have such a high CAS latency of 5? Weird. It looks slow.
